Special Family Caregiver Event with Joy Loverde

November 08, 2014 – 10:30 am

A family caregiver event has been created especially for you.
Family caregivers: Bring your loved ones to experience the love and
warmth of all that Windsor Park has to offer. While your loved one
is participating in organized activities and having fun with residents
and staff, you’ll be able to take advantage of spending time with
eldercare planning expert and best-selling author, Joy Loverde.
From shedding insights on successful aging to helping you make
custom plans that are specific to your family’s needs, this is your
opportunity to get one-on-one attention from the experts.

Haydn's Great

November 11, 2014 – 6:30 pm

Jeffrey Galbraith, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of English
at Wheaton College. He’s also an authority on 18th-century
culture. Jonathan Saylor, a fellow Ph. D., is Professor of Music at
Wheaton’s Conservatory of Music and possesses a vast knowledge
of music history. Together these gentlemen share a passion and
understanding for the impressive work of classical composer
Joseph Haydn. They’ll present an enlightening examination
of Haydn’s masterpiece, “The Creation.” Hear actual excerpts
from Hadyn’s acclaimed composition. The Professors will also
discuss the preparation involved with the upcoming performance
of “The Creation” as part of the Wheaton College Artist Series.
“Celebrating Creation” promises to be inspiring, illuminating and
entertaining all at once.

Singing Men of Oak Brook

December 09, 2014 – 7:00 pm

Since 1984, the Singing Men have delighted and inspired audiences in the upper Midwest. The members of the chorus, with some 35 voices, come from diverse backgrounds and different professions, yet they all share a passion for music. Enjoy an infectious celebration of choral music performed by individuals who truly love to sing.

The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale

December 15, 2014 – 6:30 pm

The Chorale is in their 29th year of providing an eclectic mix of music for Chicago audiences. You’ll be delighted by a vast repertoire that spans jazz, gospel, pop standards, show tunes and more. The goal of their always-entertaining concerts is to share with you their devotion and appreciation of music. They’re purists who deliver pure enjoyment.

celebration. Sample different soups, enjoy a little bread on the side
and a sweet treat to top it all off. Attendees will receive their own

Spektral Quartet with with bandoneonist Julien Labro

January 23, 2015 – 10:30 pm

Founded in 2010, the Spektral Quartet is regarded as one of Chicago’s most magnetic, forward-thinking chamber ensembles. The group is known to break from the traditional concert format, interacting with their audience for a more intimate, inclusive experience. The innovative quartet will be joined by Julien Labro, one of the foremost accordion and bandoneon players in both the classical and jazz worlds. Deemed “brilliant” by Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune, Julien’s artistry as a musician, composer and arranger has earned him international acclaim as he continues to astonish audiences worldwide.
